Alona Tal
Alona Tal is an Israeli-American performer and actress. She was born in Herzliya on October 20, 1983. She began her career while she served in the Israeli Defense Forces. Her acting debut was in an Israeli film in 2003. She also appeared in two Israeli television shows at that time. She also experimented with singing and recorded a few songs along with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal moved in with her sister in New York in order to get a break from her work. Then, she teamed up with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean in the hit song "Party to Damascus". She also established herself in American TV, starting with a regular role on the series Veronica Mars: She originally attempted to audition for the lead role but the show's creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character just for her. Then, Tal was offered a regular role of the CBS series. Participated in two TV series in Israel before making the move to New York. Recorded a track with singer Wyclef Jean. Hebrew is her mother tongue. Second place in the auditions for the role as Veronica Mars (2004). The auditions were initially unsuccessful, and she was Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas was so in love with her that he decided to make the recurring role Meg Manning for her. He was in The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jews. Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She portrays Adrian Monk's wife. She was killed in the last episode of Monk (2002).
