Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. Her first professional work was with television and film productions like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she was the producer of projects like Double Dare (1976). She has also been featured in TV shows such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna Girl (2001). Her most notable TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992, she appeared in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet as well as a noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 to April 7 in 2015). Alongside her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up in the vicinity of Walnut Creek, California. The school she attended was Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. Received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She did some trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were returned home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months before what would have been her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She was 27 days away from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) and her co-star who passed away on July 11, 2020. Though the two shows are completely different, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with her character, Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released in the same year, with Post portraying a brand new character Georgie Lahti. She coincidentally worked in Washington DC (and later moving to a small town).
